Visual Arts: With the exception of accredited courses and some courses specifically for beginners, the majority of courses accommodate all levels of ability and experience. This mix contributes to a rich learning environment where students learn from each other and from the diversity of projects and activities. Beginners are welcome in all mixed level classes: you need have no fears – our job is to help you. All our tutors are practising artists and craftspeople.
With the exception of classes marked T which are held in the top-floor studio, all visual arts classes have access for students with reduced mobility.
Materials, unless stated otherwise, are not provided. Please refer to your course description for material lists. Your tutor will further advise you on the first day of your course. Where classes have a model, charges are incorporated into the course fee.
Some courses require tutor approval before enrolling. You will need to speak to Sharon Fuller or the course tutor to decide if the course is appropriate for you before enrolment.
Music: Whether you are musically challenged, a professional developing your skills, or you simply enjoy making music, our courses combine learning with enjoyment. Emphasis is on enjoyment with occasional performances.
Please provide your own instrument for the music classes. For instrument learning or music theory, practice outside class is essential for real progress.
Dance: Our dance classes are all held at 10 Great Turnstile, WC1V 7JU, where we have a dance studio with sprung floor and changing rooms. Emphasis is on enjoyment.
Please note: visual arts & music courses are very popular and frequently oversubscribed. Students who have enrolled on term one are not automatically reserved a place for terms two and three. Please enrol early to avoid disappointment.
If you require advice about the right course for your particular needs, see a course description available in reception and on this website. If you are still in doubt, contact Sharon Fuller or Jackie Wamaitha on 020 7269 6042.
