Fees to Employers

  • All fees shown are the subsidised standard and concessionary fees.
  • If your employer is paying for you, please note that the invoiced fee is 50% more than the subsidised standard fee.
  • Literacy
These classes are for people whose first language is English or who are fluent in English.

ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
These classes are for speakers of other languages, who wish to learn English for the first time, or improve their English. Classes are at a range of levels from beginners to advanced, and most offer the opportunity to gain a Skills for Life qualification.
The courses are not intended for au pairs, students, other short-stay visitors or those in the UK specifically to learn English.

    Fees
All literacy classes are free. ESOL classes are free to those on Jobseekers Allowance and Employment Support Allowancem and concessionary fees are available for other students on low incomes. The non-accredited courses in the section Pronunciation and English Language and Culture are not part of the Skills for Life (ESOL) provision, and therefore attract regular fees.
