The Centre is governed by the Mary Ward Settlement Board of Trustees. The Board is a democratic and responsive body with two elected student members as well as two elected staff members. The Board is supported administratively by the Clerk.
Certain responsibilities are delegated to various committees that meet as required for the conduct of their business, usually two or three times each year, and report back to the Board.
When you study at Mary Ward, we hope you will get to know some of the administration staff who are here to help you and ensure that your learning experience at the Centre is a happy and productive one. Centre staff understand the importance of customer care, and we gained very high grades for the Investor in People Award.
Our teaching staff have a wealth of experience in teaching adults. Most work professionally in the subject they teach, for instance as writers, artists, musicians, interpreters, therapists. You will find your tutor has a supportive and positive approach to helping you learn. They will each introduce themselves to you at the beginning of your course.
