It aims to give students a clear idea and understanding of the dynamics that happen between people when they work one-to-one. It prepares students for the Award in Mentoring Skills qualification course.
What does this course cover
Areas covered during the course include understanding of the difference between coaching & mentoring; use of coaching & mentoring models; putting theory into practice.
What will it be like
Coaching & Mentoring definitions will be examined through group discussion and presentation. The difference between Coaching & Mentoring will then be looked at. Following that students will use active listening and questioning techniques to look at Coaching & Mentoring Practice, Coaching models and Coaching model in practice.

Pen and paper, together with a curios and open mind are the only requirements
