Students should have attended a French course for at least one year. It is open to current French1 and French 2 students, and others of the same level.

Who is this course for

This course is suitable if you have attended a French course for at least one year. It is open to current French 1 and 2 students and others of the same level.

What does this course cover

The course is aimed at discovering spoken French, getting the most out of spoken texts and conversations.
By the end of the course, you should be able to identify the main points of a text or conversation. The workshop will help you improve your listening skills.
You will:
- Understand the contractions in spoken French and improve oral comprehension.
- Have more strategies to pinpoint essential information in a conversation and develop your listening skills outside the lesson.
- Improve your confidence when speaking French.

What will it be like

The course will be based on:
- A great interaction between students.
- Pair work and group work.
- Listening and speaking activities.
- Realia and authentic material.

What else do you need to buy or do

All the material will be provided by the tutor.
You will also be given some homework to carry on practising between sessions to ensure progression.

This workshop is intended to help you develop your listening skills, and increase your confidence when interacting with French-speaking natives.
