Dreamweaver – Improvers
Build on the skills and techniques gained in the Dreamweaver courses above by exploring the advanced use of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) to cater for smartphones, iPads etc. The course alsoincludes an introduction to the use of HTML5 to handle multimedia and graphical content, video and audio.
Who is this course for
Students should have taken our current Dreamweaver course. This course is not suitable for beginners to Dreamweaver.
What does this course cover
Windows and panels; Document window; Set up a local site and add assets; Creating and saving a Document; Views; Layout View and Code View; Adding text; Fonts, Colours, Size; Tables; Images; Text links (Hyperlinks); Previewing in Browser; Interactive forms; Set up a remote site and publish; Head Section; Navigation bars; Styles; AP Elements (Layers); Use and adjust Cascading Style Sheets; Use Behaviours; Add Audio to a Page; Create Templates; Use Image Maps
What will it be like
Demonstration using Smartboard through computer-linked projectors, exposition and discussion. One-to-one and Group work. Through tutor-guidance and hands-on experience, the completion of the course objectives.+
Ongoing monitoring of students' work including questions, observation and tasks. Start and End of class student self-assessment/achievement tick sheet.
What else do you need to buy or do
Materials are supplied free of charge by the Centre.+
As much practice as possible to reinforce learning. This may be at home or elsewhere or from homework given by the tutor.

Photoshop and other Digital Media courses.
