People who are interested in learning the basic techniques and surface decorations used in the beautiful art of enamelling.
This course is suitable for absolute beginners although anyone with any experience of jewellery and scaulpture making can still hugely benefit.
What does this course cover
Students will learn a range of enamelling techniques and how to prepare metal for enamelling. We will be exploring the traditional and contemporary techniques of enamelling such as Cloisonné, Basse Taille, Ronde Bosse and Dry Sifting and much more. We'll be working on copper but feel free to bring your own silver.
What will it be like

Continuous evaluation is achieved through one-to-one discussions between the tutor and the student and group discussions.

This will depend on what you are wanting to do. Some materials, tools and equipment will be provided by the college. Additional materials are available to buy in-house and the tutor can advise about purchasing extra materials and equipment externally.
