What does this course cover

The course will introduce the basics of HTML and CSS and and how these two codes combine to create web sites that will function on multi-devices, e.g. mobile, laptop, desktop. As the course progresses, the formatting capabilities of CSS will be explored for more creative and flexible design required for professional looking sites. Web pages generally consist of images, text, links, which then need to be formatted with consideration of the rules of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). Abiding by SEO requirements increases the website's functionality and the presence on the web. Also particularly poignant on this course are the media queries available in Dreamweaver, which enables automatic selection of a CSS that will display the web site according to the device that is being used e.g. mobile phone.
