Who is this course for
This course is for anyone feeling frustrated while trying to use their Tablet or Smartphone - and not getting the most out of it. They can do an incredible amount of things... you just need to learn how.
This course follows on from mobiles, tablets and Apps for beginners.
What does this course cover
The difference between the main rivals,
Apple, Android, Windows.
Creating a Google account - (a necessary basic).
Using the Google Play Store - where you get the Apps from setting up your email account.
Transferring files from your tablet to your P.C and vice/versa.
Using Wireless peripherals, Bluetooth, NFC, WiFi etc.
Using the internet on your tablet.
Getting and understanding the best data deals for you phone/tablet.
Inserting and using Micro SD cards (boosting the memory).
Go through the total variety of Apps you can get.
What will it be like
Demonstration using Smartboard through computer-linked projectors, exposition and discussion. One-to-one and Group work. Through tutor-guidance and hands-on experience, the completion of the course objectives.+ Ongoing monitoring of students' work including questions, observation and tasks. Start and End of class student self-assessment/achievement tick sheet.
Teaching methods: Visual demonstration and verbal explanation. Written handouts with visual diagrams. One-to-one teaching. Group discussions
Learning methods: Hands-on practical activities, Reading handouts and following instructions.
One-to-one and group discussion.
How students are assessed: Questions and answers during group discussions and one-to-one teaching.
Record of students' progress and achievement on an assessment sheet as they achieve the course objectives. Practical work produced is evidence of learning.
What else do you need to buy or do
Materials are supplied free of charge by the Centre.As much practice as possible to reinforce learning. This may be at home or elsewhere or from homework given by the tutor.

An increased confidence in using technology and (hopefully) help you to breakdown and understand the awful terminology so often used.
