New : Community Arts Open Day

The November 2nd edition of the Community Arts Open day has been cancelled, but we are still taking applications for the course starting in January 2020.

Who is this course for

The Art Open Day is for all students who are interested in studying on our Working in Community Arts Course. To be accepted on to the course, all students will need to attend an informal interview.

What does this course cover

The Open Day will introduce you to the course content, partake in a creative workshop and meet our tutor.
The day will have 2 sessions, please arrive promptly:
The morning session: 10.30 - 1pm Course introduction, Q & A and creative workshop.
The afternoon session: 2 - 4.30pm, interviews and advice session on funding your course.

By the end of the session you should be given tutor approval to sign up for the course or advice on what to do next.

What will it be like

The day will be structured with talks, assessments and advice sessions. Tutors and staff will be on hand to answer questions during the day and students will get an idea of how the course runs and the application process.

What else do you need to buy or do

Bring note book and pen. If you have an interview booked, please your portfolio / examples of your work and sketchbooks / notebooks if you have them.
Informal interviews can be arranged after the Open Days if need be and you can have your opportunity to show your work then.

What this course could lead to

This day can lead into students being interviewed for the course, or sign up interview on another day.
If the interview is successful, it can lead to being offered a place on a course.
