Term 2: New for January. Participate in an in-depth exploration of Slavoj Zizek's The Parallax View (2006) which he has claimed to be his magnum opus. We read at a thoughtful pace, working with an open and flexible time frame and emphasise discussion and co-operative appreciation. Participants shold have a strong background in Western philosophy.

Who is this course for

All newcomers are welcome. Participants should have a strong background in Western Philosophy or comparable academic experience. They should be willing to engage with the original texts, though most often translated, and enjoy participating in a philosophical discussion.

Term 1:Participate in an ongoing collaborative exploration of Kant's 3rd Critique. We will read at a thoughtful pace, working within an open and flexible time frame and focusing on the second half of the book, developing our understanding and interpretation of Kants ideas through discussion and co-operative appreciation.

What does this course cover

A reading of the text at our own pace to allow for discussion. The participants share the reading and participants can initiate issues, discussion when they wish.
