Students should have attended a French course for at least one year. It is open to French 1 and French 2 students and others of the equivalent level.
Who is this course for
This course is suitable for students who have studied French for at least two years and students who are currently studying at level 3 and above.
What does this course cover
The course is aimed at reinforcing and improving spoken French.
By the end of the course, students should know French phonemes and pronounce
them better. The workshop will also help students improve their listening skills.
- Improve their pronunciation of French, especially the most difficult sounds (nasal sounds, [R])
- Improve their confidence when speaking French, develop a greater fluency
- Improve their intonation (exclamation, rhythm)
- Understand the contractions in spoken French and improve oral comprehension.
What will it be like
The course will be based on:
- A great interaction between students.
- Pair work and group work.
- Listening and speaking activities.
- Realia and Authentic material.
Your progress will be assessed throughout the course by your tutor and at the end of the course.
What else do you need to buy or do
Students will be encouraged to do some extra study at home to develop what will be covered during the sessions.

This workshop is intended to reinforce speaking and listening skills, and increase confidence when interacting with French-speaking natives.
