New : Photoshop: Intermediate
Following on from the previous course you will develop further ways of manipulating images using the more advanced aspects of; Masks, filters, gradients, layers, blending modes and adjustment layers. It will show you how to create incredible text effects combining channels, filters and layers. Using the more advanced selection tools such as the magnetic lasso, colour range and the channels it will show you how to select anything perfectly for manipulation. You will also learn how to create a stunning poster with impressive text effects and create and apply your own brush.
Who is this course for
This course will enable students to gain a more advanced understanding of using Photoshop and image manipulation.
This is an intermediate course, student will need to have experience of Photoshop and be comfortable with working on it independently and for their own projects or work. It is essential that the students also have knowledge of using Windows and File Management.
What does this course cover
Photoshop is the leading image manipulation program that is used commercially. Students will gain more specialised knowledge of many aspects of the program including:

2. Layers, masks and layering
3. Image manipulation
4. Colours, filters and effects
5. Working with Vector shapes and lines
What will it be like
Demonstration using Smartboard through computer-linked projectors, exposition and discussion. One-to-one and Group work. Through tutor-guidance and hands-on experience, the completion of the course objectives.
Ongoing monitoring of students' work including questions, observation and tasks. Start and End of class student self-assessment/achievement tick sheet.
What else do you need to buy or do
Materials are supplied free of charge by the Centre. As much practice as possible to reinforce learning. This may be at home or elsewhere or from homework given by the tutor.
