Painting Nature In Watercolour Ink

More time to explore and find inspiration from nature. Working with watercolour inks we will learn to control the inks, as well as to allow for the natural spontaneity which flows from the use of the media.

Who is this course for

This Course is for anyone who enjoys observational work and would like to experiment with coloured inks and other media. Beginners are welcome.

What does this course cover

Working from fresh flowers and foliage, you will be encouraged to adopt the materials and working practice of various modern artists. You will explore the potential of water colour inks, as well as chalk pastels, oil pastels, coloured pencils and mixed media. You will develop your drawing skills and learn to combine line with inks and with acrylic paint. You will need to bring in fresh flowers most weeks and will learn to depict the essence of complex organic forms in lively colour and with your own personal flair. This course is appropriate for beginners as well as more experienced learners.
