Who is this course for
Take the opportunity to brush up your performance skills and devise and present your own material. Learn microphone techniques and how to address and connect with an audience. Suitable for all levels - students from any art, instrument playing, singing, improv and acting courses.
What does this course cover
Students can brush up their performance skills for open mic spots and fledgeling band projects. Actors, musicians and stand-ups can work on a cabaret act or persona. We will talk about stage fright, nerves, microphone techniques, how to address and connect with an audience. Devise your own material and present it like a professional.
What will it be like
Throughout the course, we will work through and create new material in an encouraging and creative environment. We will use various processes to develope confidence, vocal & performance technique and overall musicianship.
The learners will have the opportunity to work as an ensemble, in small groups and as soloists and will receive individual constructive feedback throughout. The learners will also be supported to identify styles and techniques which will suite them for future performances. On the final day of the course, the group will have the opportunity put everything into practice by to participating in either a group or solo performance.

Students will be able to develop their skills on course and eventually aim to perform their work to an audience.
