Pilates And Yoga For Beginners – Taster
An introduction to improving flexibility, strength and balance by practising techniques from both Pilates and yoga. No previous experience needed.
Who is this course for
Suitable for beginners. (Please note that there is both standing and floor based work).
What does this course cover
These two sessions will give beginners a chance to sample some of the benefits of Pilates and yoga. By the end of the course, with guidance, students should be able to:
- perform a couple of yoga postures
- Stand with more awareness of good posture
- carry out a couple of Pilates exercises
What will it be like
Tutor will be verbally and physically demonstrating the movements as the class join with her.
Tutor will be giving verbal feedback as well as visual feedback to correct their movements and postures.
What else do you need to buy or do
Mats and props are provided, Those who wish to have extra padding can bring a large towel. Students should wear loose comfortable clothing and avoid eating for a couple of hours before class.
What this course could lead to
Continue with this course in September (Wednesdays 14.00-15.00) and/or enrol on a Pilates or yoga course.
