Our modern language courses concentrate on communication for practical, social and cultural purposes and are taught predominantly in the target language. You develop your speaking and listening skills mainly through conversation. Reading and some writing are also included. Tutors are native speakers or have an equivalent facility in the language.
Students may join courses in any term, space permitting. We are unable to keep places for those wishing to progress from one term to the next and you are therefore strongly advised to enrol as early as possible. In addition to the modern foreign language courses, we have specialist courses in Community Interpreting, Community Translation and British Sign Language.

If there are spaces, students may transfer to a different level after enrolment.
