Pre-foundation in Art & Design
Build your confidence, develop your own practice and prepare a portfolio.
Progress to Foundation, BA and Masters (MA). NCFE Level 2 Accreditation.
Foundation in Art & Design
Develop your skills and practice and prepare a portfolio. Progress to BA and Masters (MA) or Advanced Practice. Mary Ward Certificate Level 3.
This course is aimed at those who are considering Further or Higher Education in Art & Design, those who are considering a career in the visual arts or those wishing to advance their art and design practice in a structured environment with professional guidance and group support.
Advanced Creative Practice in Art & Design (APAD)
Suitable for those who have a Foundation, Arts degree or established practice who wish to develop skills and ideas in a supportive group environment. Mary Ward Certificate Level 4.
This course is an affordable alternative to entering onto a BA in Art & Design, offering a stimulating and challenging environment for people ready for this level. Download the course information leaflet
Working In Community Arts
Designed for students who want to gain a Level 3 BTEC qualification in the working in the Community Arts sector. This course has a strong visual arts focus and will cover how to develop and deliver projects within the community including: project management, working to briefs and developing your own contextual and artistic practice. Students will develop and deliver live Community Arts projects and may have the opportunity to shadow Community Arts practitioners. BTEC Level 3 certificate. This course can be paid in instalments and is eligible for a student loan.

Award In Pattern Cutting
Learn the essentials of flat pattern cutting. You will learn how to lay a block on paper and to make pattern adaptions to realise your own designs. Your patterns will be cut out in calico and constructed into a toile (test garment) using a range of sewing techniques.
Term 1 + 3 skirt or trouser block.
Term 2 bodice or jacket block.
You will also need to be able to attend one Saturday for finishing and portfolio preparation.
BTEC Level 1 accreditation.
