What Our Students Say
Students come to the Mary Ward Centre for all sorts of reasons – to gain a qualification, to improve employment prospects, to enhance their knowledge of a subject that they have had an interest in for a long time, to make friends or to enjoy the pleasure of learning something completely new in a supportive and relaxed atmosphere.
Students come from all over London from many different backgrounds and of all ages. Often people hear about the Centre through word of mouth, meaning we have an extended community of students, family and friends and ex-students, which is reflective of our supportive atmosphere and excellent teaching.
In this short film some of our students speaking about their experience at Mary Ward Centre.

I started a course in ethics and philosophy, purely out of curiosity and interest. I loved it so much that I went on to do Advanced European Philosophy. Now I teach philosophy here!

The singing class I took was for people who thought they couldn’t sing. I was really nervous at first but the teacher was supportive and inspiring so by the end of the class we’d all lost our inhibitions!
