This course is designed for beginners with basic Windows and file management skills. It provides an introduction to Microsoft Excel pivot tables, followed by an in-depth look at some of its advanced features. Students will learn to create pivot tables, change field value settings, group data, apply filters, apply calculations, and create charts.
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
• Understand what Pivot Tables are and why they are used
• Create and customise Pivot Tables from raw data
• Analyse and summarise data efficiently
• Use Pivot Charts, Slicers and Timelines for visual analysis
Visual demonstrations using Smartboard and computer-linked projectors, combined with exposition and discussion.
One-to-one and group work.
Tutor guidance and hands-on experience to achieve course objectives.
Ongoing monitoring of students’ work through questions, observation, and practical tasks.
Students will use the classroom PCs and engage in as much practical work as possible to reinforce their learning
