  • Who is it for?

    In a world where digital skills are paramount, staying organized, efficient, and productive is essential. Whether you're a professional, student, or simply someone navigating the modern world, mastering Microsoft 365 can be a game-changer. This course we'll empower you with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in this dynamic environment.

  • What does it cover?

    This course will cover:
    - Introduction to Microsoft 365 - understand the suite of tools and services.
    - Familiarise with the dashboard and navigation
    - Access MS 365 apps on different devices
    - Sync files seamlessly across platforms
    - Protect your account with strong passwords
    - Recognize phishing attempts and other threats.
    - Customize your workspace for maximum productivity.
    - Outlook - learn how to manage emails, contacts, and calendars effectively.
    - Explore Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to create, edit, and collaborate on documents
    - OneDrive - store files securely

    Please ensure your English level is at E3/L1 English/ESOL to join

  • What will it be like?

    Teaching methods: Visual demonstration and verbal explanation. Written handouts with visual diagrams. Group discussions.
    Learning methods: Hands-on practical activities, reading handouts and following instructions. One-to-one and group work.
    How students are assessed: Ongoing monitoring of students' work including questions, observation and tasks. Record of students' progress and achievement on an assessment sheet as they achieve the course objectives. Start and End of class student self-assessment/achievement tick sheet. Practical work produced is evidence of learning.

  • What else do I need to buy or do?

    You will need to bring a folder to keep the handouts you will receive in class. Also, a notebook and a pen to take notes.
    You need to have access to a computer and the internet for practicing and completing homework.

  • What could it lead to?

    This course doesn't have any stressful final exams or an official qualification. If you attend on time to all lessons, you will receive a Certificate of Completion from the college.

    At the end of the course, you will decide with your tutor which is the most appropriate next course for you. If you are interested in an awarded IT courses such as Essential Digital Skills E3 or ICDL L1 you will need to book an assessment appointment.
