This course builds on Making a start with your PC- Part 1 and introduces key digital skills for everyday life. You’ll learn how to open a browser, use a search engine, and find useful information online. You’ll also practise writing and sending simple emails, completing online forms, and understanding how to stay safe and protect your personal information. This course is ideal for learners who want to become more independent and confident online.
Friendly, hands-on, and supportive. You’ll work in small groups with lots of guided practice and one-to-one help. There are no tests—just a relaxed environment to build your confidence. The tutor will also provide clear, easy-to-follow written handouts so you can review what you’ve learned at your own pace.
If you meet the criteria, you can request a Certificate of Attendance. Speak to your tutor if you're interested.
You’ll be using the computers available in the classroom. Please bring a notepad, a pen, and a folder to keep your handouts organised.
If you are ready, you can join the next course: Building Your Digital Skills. If you need more time, your tutor may recommend staying at this level to help you build more confidence and skills.
