This one-day course explores the psychology of the criminal mind through a blend of neuropsychology, criminological theory, and fictional representation. Participants will examine whether criminal behaviour is born, made, or narrated into being.
Through interactive discussion, short film clips, and guided reflection, participants will develop a psychologically informed understanding of:
· Personality disorders and “dark” traits
· The cultural fascination with violent offenders
· Why we sympathise with, excuse, or even admire fictional criminals
· Whether psychological insight enhances—or disrupts—the pleasure of crime stories
No prior psychology knowledge is required. The day is intellectually challenging, accessible, and designed for curious readers, educators, and professionals with a healthy interest in the darker side of human behaviour.
