Ballroom Dancing For Beginners

Who is this course for
This course is aimed at beginners, no experience necessary. You are welcome to attend solo or with a partner and partner work will be offered in line with government guidelines at the time.
What does this course cover
Students will learn a selection of Latin and ballroom basic steps, turns and variations in short sequences. Dances will be performed to strict tempo ballroom music which will be discussed in relation to the style of the dance.
What will it be like
Steps will be demonstrated by the tutor for learners to follow as a group before working with partners (optional) to perform to music. The tutor will advise you on styling and timing. The emphasis will be on fun.
What else do you need to buy or do
Comfortable clothing and footwear (ballroom, jazz or other soft dance shoes are ideal, or alternatively trainers / plimsolls) are recommended to allow for free movement.
What this course could lead to
You may wish to join another class next term or dance socially. Your tutor will advise you of upcoming options.
