Iconic Days Of Disco
Celebrate the funky grooves of the 1970's and 80's with an afternoon of dance celebrating the iconic days of Disco. Learn short routines based on the trends of the era with a soundtrack including the Bee Gees, Donna Summer and The Jackson Five.
Who is this course for
No previous experience necessary. This course is open to anyone who would like to try simple dances inspired by the disco era.
What does this course cover
Students will learn a selection of dances based on and inspired by famous Disco songs and dances from the 1970's and 80's. Dances will be performed to relevant music for each dance which will be discussed in relation to the style. No partner is required as routines will be danced as a group.
What will it be like
Steps will be demonstrated by the tutor for learners to follow as a group before performing to music. The tutor will advise you on styling and timing.
What else do you need to buy or do
Comfortable clothing and footwear (ballroom, jazz or other soft dance shoes are ideal, or alternatively trainers / plimsolls) are recommended to allow for free movement.

You will need a microphone (it's fine to use whatever is built into your device) and camera, so we can see you via video. You may also want to use headphones during the session.
Make sure you have a small space to work in during the session.
