Further develop your Spanish on this lively and communicative course. This course aims to enable students to improve their fluency through discussions on a variety of topics and to expand their vocabulary and knowledge of grammar.
Who is this course for
This course is for students who have studied Spanish three or four years. They should also have a good grasp of grammatical structures and be reasonably fluent.
What does this course cover
You will be able to practice and improve your conversational, as well as your understanding in the language in a small group within a relaxed communicative atmosphere debating topical issues related to Spain as well as exploring aspects of Spanish culture through the media.
You will also consolidate grammar notions and learn new vocabulary.
What will it be like
The emphasis on the course will be on developing confidence in speaking and reading and so the activities used will be communicative. There will be small group work, pair work, whole group discussion and debate, video, audio, use of realia, pictures and authentic material and an opportunity for research on the internet through demonstration of useful websites on the smartboard in the classroom.
Your tutor will assess your learning throughout the course and you will receive regular feedback.
What else do you need to buy or do
There will be some reading or research to be done for the following week's class and students are encouraged to read, listen to Spanish radio or TV and spend as much time as possible being exposed to the language. The tutor will advise.
The course will be run on Zoom, please make sure you have installed it in advance of your first class on your computer or mobile device. You can sign up for free here:
