Questioning British Prehistories

How do archaeologists know what they know about the ancient past? How do they decide which accounts are convincing and which are unsatisfactory, and why? On this course we will look at those periods described as the most 'remote' and 'distant' in Britain's past, asking questions of the evidence and constructing arguments and interpretations based on assessments of current debates within the field.
