What will it be like

We will be looking at what makes a good song, with a focus on both music and lyrics. We will then go onto developing basic music theory for composition as well as a study of poetic devices and how they can expand lyrics as well as provide a starting point for writing.
We will review well known contemporary popular songs and question why
and what makes these songs special, what are the ingredients that make for a successful song?
The tutor will encourage and create opportunities for co-writing and collaborating with other
participants in the group. Edwin will also discuss and advise techniques of how to
record your song ideas.
