Watercolour Project Based (Intermediate) – Online
Who is this course for
This course is aimed at learners who have had a fair amount of watercolour experience and are comfortable enough with basic techniques to want to explore further - pushing watercolour to its limits and beyond, to help imagery evolve into a series of works or a larger project.
What does this course cover
Your tutor: Cleo Harrington MA(RCA) will be encouraging you to explore, delve into new themes & ideas and experiment with other media alongside the watercolour over this 10 week course. You will get regular in- depth feedback in the session from your tutor as well as your peers.
So, if you have an idea for a project or you want to develop an illustrative style for a book, or you want to explore ideas but don't know how , or if you simply have an interest in using watercolour in a contemporary and imaginative way - combining it with other media - then this course will be an ideal platform for you to begin your journey.
What will it be like
There will be demonstration and experimentation. The tutor will give direction to the group as well as individual instruction and support. Progress will be assessed through group critique.
What else do you need to buy or do
For the first session students will only need basic materials: a range of Watercolour paints, brushes, pencils, watercolour paper and a fine liner pen.
The tutor will discuss materials in the first session and students can purchase these over the following weeks.
There will be a simple task to do in preparation for the first session - this will be emailed out to you at least 1 week before the course begins.
