Wheel Thrown Pottery

This course is designed to introduce students to the pottery wheel with an emphasis on the development of throwing techniques, glazing, decorating, and firing. Students will learn the fundamental skills of centering, throwing, and trimming clay on the wheel. The course will also cover glaze application, decorating techniques, and the basics of kiln firing. By the end of the program, students will be able to create and glaze their own wheel-thrown pottery pieces.

Basic materials are provided, specialist clays and glazes will have an extra charge.

Students are welcome to continue on the same course or try other ceramics based sculpture classes.
