Printmaking

Printmaking is a versatile and exploratory art form that combines image-making, process and experimentation. Using techniques such as relief, mono-printing and other hand-printed methods, printmaking allows you to create multiple versions of an image while discovering how line, texture, pattern and tone work together. It’s a medium that encourages curiosity and playful problem-solving, with plenty of room for personal interpretation.

Across our printmaking courses, you’ll explore a range of traditional and contemporary printmaking techniques, learning how to design, carve, ink and print using different materials and tools. Each process offers a distinct visual language, from bold graphic marks to subtle layered effects, making printmaking an exciting way to develop your visual practice.

Our printmaking courses are welcoming and beginner-friendly, whether you’re completely new to the medium or looking to expand your creative skills. These courses offer a relaxed, hands-on environment to experiment with print processes, build confidence and discover how printmaking can support drawing, illustration and mixed media work.
