  • Course Overview

Students will learn a variety of traditional and contemporary hand-building techniques including coiling, slab-building, carving, and modeling. The course will also cover surface decoration, glazing, and an introduction to firing processes. Emphasis will be placed on individual creative development, with inspiration drawn from nature, the human form, abstract concepts, and historical or contemporary ceramic artists.

Explore the possibilities of modelling in clay, taking inspiration from contemporary sculpture, work from found objects to develop your imagination, explore techniques of modelling, casting and transform forms according to your imagination. All levels of experience welcome
