We’re delighted to introduce our new textile room at Mary Ward Centre — a brighter, more spacious environment designed to support creativity, experimentation and learning.
The new room gives you more space to work on your projects, with facilities to support a wide range of textile activities. Having a dedicated space for sewing and textile work also helps keep fabrics and projects away from water, paint, ink and other materials, so you can focus on your work in a more suitable environment.
What can you create in our new textile room?
Whether you’re interested in learning to sew, making your own clothes or developing your existing skills, there are plenty of ways to explore your creativity. You could learn how to use a sewing machine, discover pattern cutting and alterations, develop your clothesmaking skills or experiment with fabric dyeing and more sustainable approaches to fashion. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to take your skills further, there’s room to learn, experiment and make something uniquely yours.
We believe that having the right space makes a real difference to the learning experience. Our new textile room is another step towards creating a welcoming environment where learners can build confidence, explore new ideas and bring their creative projects to life.
