Veronica Daly Appointed as New Chair of the Board

We are absolutely delighted to announce the appointment of Veronica Daly as the new Chair of the Board. Veronica joins us at a pivotal moment, ready to lead us into an inspiring new chapter in our charity’s history.

With her extensive background in governance, law, and procurement, coupled with her rich experience as a dedicated supporter and volunteer within the charity sector, Veronica brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to our organisation. Her forward-thinking approach and sound advice will undoubtedly enrich all our services and initiatives.

Veronica Daly shared her thoughts on her appointment:

I am just delighted at being appointed as Chair of the Charity whose founding mission in the 1880s of open access to education, recreation and advisory service for all continues to this day.

Pioneering leaders continue to drive the Charity forward and a diverse Board of experts, committed to the values and mission of the Charity, support them in this work.

I’ve joined at a time of great change and challenges to the provision of affordable education, community outreach and legal advice services but surrounded by a community, whose support and passion for social justice, will best allow the Charity to continue its vital work.
