Singing Performance The Tea Building Shoreditch

Since 2020, The Mary Ward Centre has run a weekly singing course in partnership with St Hilda’s East Linkage Plus, a programme for local Tower Hamlets residents who are over 50. The tutor introduced singing and breathing techniques through a range of songs from different genres and in different languages. Participants have enjoyed singing songs together in a group, developing friendships and growing in confidence and sound as the weeks have progressed.

“The tutor is very friendly and patient. The course helped me to be able to follow instructions which I usually find a challenge.”

This Christmas, the group gave a brilliant performance to St Hilda’s members, staff and friends at the Tea Building in Shoreditch.
