In the Spring, the Community Outreach team ran a creative book making course with Arts for Fun and Perfect Community Care, who work with adults with mental health issues and learning and difficulties. Taking inspiration from the seasons, participants worked with a craft teacher learning collage, block printmaking, painting and book making techniques to create their own personal journal. Everyone embraced the sessions and worked in an experimental way, resulting in these charming and colourful collection of books.
The work produced is now on display in The Rotunda Gallery in Becton until 7th September. Pop along to enjoy the work and make a small concertina book of your own. The Rotunda gallery is in the The Globe Library Becton 1 Kingsford Way, London E6 5JQ.
