This coure could be perfect for giving you confidence to join a longer course, if you plan to get even more serious about your photography.
This course will cover:
- Learn about different lenses and when to use a wide-angle or telephoto
- Control of light with metering and the exposure triangle
- Mode dial including choosing aperture and shutter priority
- Careful focus using choice of aperture to affect depth of field
- Different elements of composition including perspective and positioning
- Understanding options for storing, editing and sharing photos
By the end of the course, you should be able to:
1. Know how to control light and better compose photographs with your smartphone or digital camera
2. Understand options for editing your photos as well as how to save and organise your images to your device or cloud
3. Create a portfolio of themed photographs and have a clear understanding of what to do next, to develop your photography further
This course is practice-led so technical skills are taught in a way to help you learn how photography works. The tutor will give demonstrations and provide individual help where needed and there will be time to discuss and review photographs. Your learning will be further supported by course materials and online videos.
You will need to bring your own digital camera or smartphone.
Finish the course with increased confidence to explore and enjoy your creativity through photography. Once completed, students can choose a longer photography course such as Digital Photography Editing or Digital Photography Introduction.
