Insect Sculptures

In 2021, a group of Newham residents, who met together on Zoom with the Mary Ward Centre, were invited to rise to the challenge to each create 2 different insects, with contrasting character and personality. The insects were inspired by research from real ones or taken as a creative interpretation. They are made from found objects, recycled materials, and natural materials, amongst other things.

The sculptures went on tour being on display in 2022 in both Stratford and Canning Town Library and enjoyed by all.
